This dehydrator was designed and constructed in accordance with ASME CODE SECTION VIII DIVISION 2. It was designed for an internal pressure of 500 PSI @ 550 F. It was 144" ID x 19'-0" T/T x 2.0 " THK. The material used to construct this vessel was SA-516-70N. This vessel weighed more than 100,000 lbs.

As per the requirement of AD-160.2, Condition A, a fatigue analysis was performed on this dehydrator for a full range pressure cycle plus operating pressure cycle exceeding 20% of design pressure over 1000 cycles using latest FEA software.
